Landscape painting I did for my parent's 25th wedding anniversary. Acrylic on canvas.

Upon seeing the simple thumb version of this, I had to take a closer look. It caught my eye. It's a very simple landscape, but you put such detail into every tiny portion of it.

First of all, the lighting. The lighting you chose to portray into it really allowed you to add the hints and hues of light pinks and purples.

You did a magnificent job with the reflection. From my experience with artwork that doesn't involve a camera, I know how hard it can sometimes be to make a good reflection and make it realistic. But you did a wonderful job with this.

It's so easy for someone to push a button on a camera and get the equivalent of this piece, but You have put so much time and effort into it and it really shows.

Great job.

Beautiful; I love how the water looks reflective and water-like while still having a lovely texture from the paint. If you see what I mean. XD The colours are wonderful too :)

I like all the movement in your piece. The smooth streaks in the water, the blotted clouds, the pit-pattery trees. :) You did a good job with varying different surfaces. :) Pretty.

Thank you very much - I went crazy with different materials to manipulate the paint from regular brushes - tooth picks - cotton balls... yeah, I made a huge mess in my living room.
